In terms of layout,
this par 4 10th hole at Rouken Glen has a lot in common
with the 7th; a longish, slightly dog-legged, fairway that
is divided two thirds of the way through by a burn, etc.
This hole is significantly shorter, however, and the green
and the surrounding area much less difficult to negotiate.
With tee shots here it is probably advisable to sacrafice
distance for accuracy, if possible, and try and stay centrally
positioned on the fairway. The fairway slopes in your favour
anyway and you can expect your ball to run nicely in the
right direction in even damp conditions.
Hit too long here from the tee, especially in dry conditions,
and you can easily find yourself in the burn that runs through
the bottom of the fairway. |
